When making an attempt to attract an audience to our product, we took into consideration the fact that our target market was 15+. In order to allow this age restriction our OTS was made to make sure it was in the 15+ boundaries. They enjoyed a Paranormal. From this data we decided to create a film about a TV presenter reviewing paranormal sightings and it gets out of hand. In our OTS we included a range of attention grabbing sound effects and jump scares to adress the audience that the film itself will include these things, persuading them to watch it. The first main jump scare that we used was a short clip of a vulnerable, innocent looking girl screaming, to show the audience that there is tension within our production. This jump scare included emily's character(the innocent victim)screaming with a very frightened look on her face, joint with a loud unexpected screaming sound effect, to add to the suspense. The other jump scare that we used was another short 1 second clip of ryans character(the stalker) with a pitch black background, with his hood up and only his face as the centre of attention, also with a fearsome facial expression. This was a significant part of our OTS as it shows suspense within the trailer and leaves the audience wondering who this person is and what type of connection he has with this young girl he is seen as the victim.
