In our OTS we used a knife in the wall to give the audience a feel of anticipation and anxiety to enhance the imagery of fear and danger, persuading them that it is intimidating enough. We decided to use the prop in the wall in our OTS as it doesn't give away to much information and is an unusual place to have a knife leaving the audience wondering what has happened and how it has got there.
Rope
In our OTS we used the rope to be wrapped around the possessed victims. This gives the illusion of restraint on the victims to show the horror and severity of the situation. We decides to use this because rather than just having the actor sitting there the rope makes the scene look a lot more realistic and helps the fact of the victims being possessed.
White Sheet
In our OTS we used a white sheet over the possessed victim because that is what is stereotypically used in paranormal films so we decided to follow this. this allowed the figure to be unseen so people can get different interpretations on what the victim is seen like but all links back to the same concept
Old Chair
In our OTS we used an old chair to signify the olden time ritual that has allowed the victim to become possessed by some sort of demon. This is also stereotypically used in paranormal films so we again decided to follow this concept which allowed viewers to understand what was actually going on in the OTS.
Fake Camera
We used a fake Camcorder because the OTS was about a TV show about paranormal happenings so it linked it to this. The same idea was used in Paranormal Activity which is a very popular film series so we decided to use this concept in our OTS so hopefully get a similar reaction and make it make sense.
